Lay Associates

“We are many parts, but all one body in Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 12:12

The Cluny Lay Associate is a baptized individual—young or old—who desires to live out the Gospel with deeper intention, rooted in the charism and spirituality of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey, while remaining in their lay vocation.
Associates are not bound by religious vows but freely choose to walk alongside the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny. They share in the spirit of the Congregation through prayer, community, reflection, and acts of service in their daily lives—becoming a living bridge between the world and the Church.
Through mutual faith and companionship, Lay Associates help extend the mission of love, justice, and compassion far beyond the convent walls—into homes, workplaces, parishes, and communities.
